Why does my face Routine work?
Our face is made up of about 50 different muscles, overlayed on one other, and the skin of our face is – for the most part – attached to these muscles.
By toning, relaxing and stretching the muscles with facial gymnastics, hence, the skin will follow them. The aged appearance is not given so much by wrinkles, but by the fact that, with age, the repeated wrong grimaces, the contractures, the muscles begin to descend or to shorten.
The face will then appear sagging, empty or full of folds.

Try this simple experiment. Place your index finger on the side of the nose, 1 cm below the inner corner of the eye. Now, keeping your finger supported, push it up, you will see the nasolabial fold rise and stretch. You didn’t imagine that a tiny muscle on the side of the nose could stretch that crease that gives us a sad look, did you? Facial gymnastics works because most of the facial muscles are directly attached to the skin: by toning, plumping and lifting, the skin will follow them, appearing firmer, brighter and more vital.

Actually, I admire skilled plastic surgeons, those who never overdo it, those who don’t listen to absurd requests from patients but rather focus on the harmony of the face, those who would rather lose a client than overinflate lips or cheekbones.
The question is, how many of them are out there? I only know one: he learned and then worked with the best plastic surgeons in the world, and he also considers facial exercises essential not only for an excellent facelift but also as a daily beauty routine.
What are the essential elements of the program
It’s not reasonable for a 60 year-old to wish to look 25, but 50 yes. With facial gymnastics, healthy habits, you can look 10 years younger. It’s never too late to start practicing facial gymnastics, because you will find benefits on your skin and also on your mood.
But, I must be very clear,facial gymnastics alone is not enough. We need to adopt a healthy lifestyle, which includes correct eating habits, hydrate the body (and also the brain, which needs water), an active life (but don’t – please – run an hour sweating under the sun: after a month your face will seem drained and hanging like an autumn leaf). Learn my exercises, sleep well and don’t smoke (or smoke as little as possible). Do I do all this? Yes, almost always, although sometimes I allow myself two cigarettes and a glass of wine. But I drink a lot of water, I like to play sports, I love being outdoors and I do my facial exercises 5 five times a week.

Other good consequences of the practice
Thanks to the facial gymnastics exercises, your face will look younger, more toned, more expressive and your skin – thanks to the increased blood flow and the tricks that I shall explain – will appear brighter without iridescent powders and creams. It will also change your mood because if it is true that thoughts affect our appearance, the opposite is also true: physiology influences our thoughts. You may have noticed that depressed people have limp, sagging facial muscles, while anxious ones show a stiffness in their face as if it were always contracted, in a constant state of alert. By learning, with facial gymnastics, to tone and relax the muscles, to reactivate forgotten muscle areas, your mood will also improve: try to smile and have negative thoughts at the same time: difficult right?
